Pet Boarding Service

The animal shelter offers dog and cat boarding while their owners are away. They have 50 heated, spacious kennels available for this purpose. Dogs are given generous amounts of exercise, and soft music to provide a soothing home-like setting for the duration of their stay. Please book your pet's accommodation in advance, and note that all dogs and cats must have current inoculations, including Bordetella. The cost for dogs per day is $16.00, and $9.00 for cats.

Pet Adoption Service

The animal shelter provides a pet adoption service; so if you are looking for a pet, or need to find a new home for your dog or cat, give them a call.

Please ensure that your dog is always leashed and under control while off your property. Please carry 'pooper scoop baggies' with you when out for a walk. There are fines in place for those people who do not respect their neighbours or the community, and allow their dogs to be a nuisance. If you need advice on remedying a particular problem, the animal shelter's helpful and friendly staff will be happy to assist you.

Please note that Coastal Animal Control Services of BC Ltd. is not the Duncan SPCA.
