Construction of Evans Park is almost complete. The new park includes 7 ball fields and 2 sports fields that can be used for a variety of sports and activities. The new two-storey fieldhouse, scheduled for completion this Summer, is situated in the center of the park and includes a meeting room, viewing area, storage space, concession area, washrooms and change room facilities. A network of trails to neighbouring subdivisions connects with the park, providing a country feel in a rural setting. The park is located on Somenos Road adjacent to the Sherman Road Soccer park and Mount Prevost Middle School.   Click here for the site plan.

 

 

 

 

 

The first ball game of the season was played on May 7, 2011, with all of the fields being operational except the Rookie field which will be completed in time for the 2012 ball season. Grand opening ceremonies were held June 18, 2011 in which the park was dedicated as Evans Park, the 6 named ball fields that originated at Pioneer Park were re-dedicated (Caldwell, Bucky Kennett, Preston Bruce, Kelly Nugent, Wally Thorne, Michelle Yano), the Rookie field was named the Carey Adams Field and the clubhouse was named the Bob McKinlay fieldhouse.
