Vancouver Island Motorsport Circuit

Current Status (September, 2019):

VIMC has submitted a rezoning application to amend the zoning of the existing facility and lands for a proposed expeansion from Heavy Industrial (I2) and Commercial Rural Recreation Zone (C8) to a new Comprehensive Development Zone (CD21).  A Staff report regarding the application is now posted here [PDF - 2 MB].  North Cowichan Council has given first and second reading to Zoning Amendment Bylaw No. 3761 on August 21, 2019.  A public hearing regarding the application and amendment bylaw is planned for October 1, 2019.
