Water Conservation

Current Water Conservation Measure Level:

Stage 1 watering restrictions are in place at this time. (Stage 1 is in effect from May 1 to October 31 annually. Throughout the drier summer months, the Municipality may choose to increase the water conservation measures, if required.)

Please note: North Cowichan is considering updates to its Waterworks Bylaw in order to address water conservation. For background details, see the May 4 council meeting agenda.

STAGE 1 WATER CONSERVATION MEASURES ARE IN EFFECT EACH YEAR FROM MAY 1 THROUGH OCTOBER 31*

(*If the Municipality requires further restrictions, Stage 2 or Stage 3 Water Use Restrictions may apply.) 

Please check the News section of the Municipality's website for Public Notices that are issued to advise when any stage of Water Conservation Measures is in effect and refer to the Water Conservation Measures Chart & FAQ for detailed information on Stage 1, Stage 2 and Stage 3 Water Conservation Measures.
