Candidate Nomination Documents

The nomination period starts on Tuesday, August 30, 2022 at 9:00 am and ends Friday, September 9, 2022 at 4:00 pm. This is the only time during the election process when the Chief Election Officer can accept nomination documents from people who want to run for elected office. The nomination documents will be available for public inspection at Municipal Hall [during regular office hours] as soon as they are received.

The nomination documents will also be available for public inspection online, in accordance with Section 89 of the Local Government Act:

Section 89(9) of the Local Government Act states that "A person who inspects or otherwise accesses nomination documents under this section must not use the information included in them except for the purposes of this Act or purposes authorized by Section 63 [restrictions on use of personal information] of the Local Elections Campaign Financing Act."

Please Note: Nomination documents will be added as they are received between August 30 and September 9, 2022.
