Important Election Information
General Local Elections are held every four years in BC. In North Cowichan this includes the election of a Mayor and six Councillors to Municipal Council.
General Voting Day in North Cowichan is Saturday, October 20, 2018. Advance Voting opportunities are being held on Wednesday, October 10, 2018 and Tuesday, October 16, 2018.

Register to Vote!
North Cowichan uses the Provincial Voters List as its list of registered electors. If you are a qualified elector, we encourage you to register, update, or confirm your voter information with Elections BC as soon as possible. www.elections.bc.ca 1.800.661.8683
If you are unable to register before a municipal election, you may still register at the voting place if you meet the elector qualifications. You must show at least 2 pieces of ID that provide evidence of your identity and place of residence. At least one must contain your signature.

Non-Resident Property Elector registration info:
If you are eligible to register as a non-resident property elector and have not already done so, you may pre-fill out the following forms prior to arriving at the voting place (available during Advance Voting days October 10 and 16, and General Voting day, October 20):
- Application to Register as a Non-Resident Property Elector (Form 2-7)
- If Applicable, Non-Resident Property Elector Consent Form (Form 2-8)
