Public Workshop - Stoney Hill Road

Place: Maple Bay Fire Hall - 1230 Maple Bay Road
Members of the public are invited to participate in a workshop at which options for the alignment of a road through the Maple Bay Peninsula (Stoney Hill) will be discussed. A presentation will begin at 7 p.m. that will explore the ecological, archaeological, cultural and economic benefits and challenges of each option. Municipal Council and staff will be available to answer questions and to provide further details on each option. Council values your input and encourages you to participate in this process.
The following documents will provide a brief history of Maple Bay Peninsula (Stoney Hill), the proposal to remove land from the forest reserve to provide public access to the area, a map outlining the proposed road network and a report from the Director of Planning and Development on preserving the rural character of Stoney Hill.
