Rowing Canada Considers Quamichan Lake for a New National Rowing Centre of Excellence

North Cowichan, BC -- As part of a long-term facilities vision, Rowing Canada is considering the development of a new National Rowing Centre of Excellence to complement its current training facilities. A number of potential locations throughout Southwestern British Columbia are being reviewed, and one of these is Quamichan Lake.

While this process is still in its early stages, Rowing Canada has indicated that a variety of public and private sites on Quamichan Lake are being considered, including Art Mann Park. In determining the suitability of these potential sites, a feasibility study to review lake and site options is required, and will include a comprehensive public consultation process.
