North Cowichan Municipal Council invites volunteers to serve on the following committees:
Agricultural Advisory Committee,
Chemainus Advisory Committee,
Parks and Recreation Advisory Committee.
The Agricultural Advisory Committee advises Council on ways to oversee and implement North Cowichan's Strategic Agricultural Plan, as well as review and consider land uses on or abutting agricultural land, as referred by Council. This Committee typically meets Tuesdays quarterly.
The Chemainus Advisory Committee advises Council on matters consistent with the long-term vision for Chemainus articulated in the Official Community Plan, and on broad issues affecting Chemainus, as referred by Council. This Committee typically meets 2-3 times a year.
The Parks and Recreation Advisory Committee advises Council on ways to oversee and implement North Cowichan's Parks and Trails Master plan, municipal leisure and recreation issues referred to the Committee by Council, and the parks and recreation component of the financial plan. This Committee typically meets Mondays quarterly.
