Crofton asked to Reduce Water Use for 24 Hours
December 20, 2018
8AM UPDATE, DEC 21: Power is back on at the Cowichan River Catalyst pump station, and a boil water advisory is NOT required for Crofton at this time. Thanks to residents for their patience this morning as we confirmed the situation.
9PM UPDATE: Power remains out at the Cowichan River Catalyst pump station. If power does not resume, it may be necessary to switch to the back-up water supply overnight, which will require a boil-water advisory. If this occurs, updates will be sent out via North Cowichan’s e-Alert system, social media, and will be posted on our website. Please check for updates in the morning.
4PM: Power is currently out at the Cowichan River Catalyst pump station, which supplies water to Crofton and the Catalyst Mill. To ensure that the Mill has sufficient water for fire protection, we are asking Crofton residents to reduce water usage over the next 24 hours. We will update again by 9:30 a.m. Friday, December 21, or earlier if possible. Thank you to residents!
