BC Bike Race - July 6

The BC Bike Race is a 7-day mountain bike race that takes place in multiple phases and communities every year. For the second year in a row, the event coming to Mt Tzouhalem and Maple Mountain on July 6, with pre-event staging happening at Properties Fields / Maple Bay School on July 5. 

Approximately 650 riders will be participating in the event. Racers will start at Maple Bay Elementary School and race Mt Tzouhalem, ride up Osborne Bay Road, race Maple Mountain, then transition via Mt.Richards, to finish at the Roberts Street Ball fields in Crofton.  Find race details here: https://www.bcbikerace.com/duncan/.

This event is being organized by the BC Bike Race, so it is not a Municipal event, but the Municipality and School District 79 are working with the organizers to facilitate access to Maple Bay School, the municipal mountains and the municipal sportsfields and tennis/sports courts in both Maple Bay and Crofton.

Please be aware that it will be busy and there may be traffic delays in areas near the event this weekend.
