North Cowichan moves to Stage 2 water restrictions

Effective Monday, August 29, North Cowichan will be moving to Stage 2 water restrictions.
- Sprinkling is restricted to between 7am and 9am OR 7pm and 9pm Wednesday and Saturday (even numbered houses) or Thursday and Sunday (odd numbered houses).
- Hand watering of trees, shrubs, and gardens (with a spring-loaded nozzle or bucket) is restricted to a maximum of 2 hours per day, between 7am and 9am or 7pm and 9pm.
- Washing driveways, houses, and sidewalks is not permitted
A cool and wet spring and early summer means the introduction of Stage 2 is later that in past years.
