Stage 3 water restrictions are in effect for all North Cowichan water systems. Sprinkling is not permitted at this time.
Notice of Special Council Meeting
January 13, 2023
Notice is given that A Special Council meeting for the District of North Cowichan will be held on Wednesday, January 18, 2023 at 3:00 p.m. by electronic means for the purpose of holding an in camera meeting.
The in camera meeting will be closed to the public under the following sections of the Community Charter:
- 90(1)(c) - labour relations or other employee relations;
- 90(1)(e) - the acquisition, disposition or expropriation of land or improvements, which the council considers that disclosure could reasonably be expected to harm the interests of the municipality; and,
- 90(1)(l) – discussions with municipal officers and employees respecting municipal objectives, measures and progress reports for the purposes of preparing an annual report under section 98 [annual municipal report].
Members of the public may attend Council Chambers located at 7030 Trans-Canada Highway to observe the open portion of this meeting or they can visit www.northcowichan.ca/Agendas to view the live stream.
This notice is given as required by Section 127 of the Community Charter.
