Public transportation (buses)
Through regional partnerships, several different modes of public transit are available in North Cowichan, including fixed bus routes, inter-regional services to Victoria and Nanaimo, and HandyDART service for mobility-challenged individuals.

BC Ferries
BC Ferries operates terminals in Crofton and Chemainus, with service to Salt Spring Island (Vesuvius) and Thetis/Penelakut Islands respectively.

The Crofton terminal will be undergoing upgrades to accommodate new two-vessel Island Class ferry service, set to begin in 2027.
