October 14, 2025 update:
The union representing Canada Post workers has advised that strike action will move to rotating labour disruptions. While mail service will be restored, it is expected that delays or further labour disruptions could impact the delivery of mail.
North Cowichan will be mailing utility bill statements, which are due December 31.

September 24, 2025:
The delivery of North Cowichan bills, notifications, and other correspondence is impacted by the current Canada Post labour disruption. Businesses and residents will experience delays in receiving:
- Utility bills
- Business or dog licences
Residents and businesses are still required to make payments by due dates. There are multiple options for making payments and continuing business with North Cowichan during this time.
Important dates
Utility bills – the fall utility bill is due December 31 (these bills were not mailed before the labour disruption began). Bills will be available online beginning October 14 and will be mailed later that week (following limited resumption of mail service).
Getting your bills online
Residents and businesses can create or log into their MyMuni account for information on account balances and deadlines.

Alternate payment options are available in-person and online
To avoid late fees, interest charges or penalties, residents and businesses are encouraged to use alternative methods to make payments on time.
Payments can be made:
- Through your online banking
- In-person at the Municipal Hall: 7030 Trans-Canada Highway (Monday-Friday, 8:30am-4:00pm; a drop-box is available after hours)
- Credit card online at www.egov.northcowichan.ca/apps/LoginManager
- Note – there is a 2.75% convenience fee added to all credit card payments
