NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN under Section 494 (1) of the Local Government Act by the Director of Planning and Building that the Municipality proposes to consider the issuance of a Temporary Use Permit.
The Director of Planning and Building will consider whether to approve the issuance of the proposed permit at 4:00 p.m. on Tuesday, September 16, 2025 at the Municipal Hall, 7030 Trans-Canada Highway, North Cowichan, BC.
The purpose of the Temporary Use Permit is to allow the registered owners of 5925 Cassino Road legally described as Lot 3, Section 19, Range 4, Quamichan District, Plan 7783 (PID: 000-146-994) to reside in their existing dwelling on the subject property while constructing a new dwelling. The registered owners will be required to post security to ensure that their current dwelling is decommissioned upon completion of their new dwelling.
If you believe your interests in land will be affected by the proposed permit, you are invited to submit your comments in writing to planning@northcowichan.ca or by dropping them off or mailing them to the Municipality of North Cowichan, attention: Amanda J. Young, Director of Planning and Building by 1:00 p.m. on Tuesday, September 16, 2025.
