Term: Agricultural Advisory Committee members are appointed by Council. While committee terms normally coincide with the Council term ending October 31, 2026, Council approved a one-year extension of the current members' appointments on May 6, 2026. As a result, current terms will now expire on November 30, 2027.
The extension supports continuity during the review and update of North Cowichan's Strategic Agricultural Plan, which began in February 2026 and is expected to be completed in fall 2027.
Schedule: Committee meetings are held quarterly and start at 4:30pm, unless otherwise determined by the Chair in consultation with North Cowichan staff. The Agricultural Advisory Committee meetings will be held in person in the Large Committee Room at Municipal Hall.
