Applications for mail ballots must be submitted no later than 2:00pm on general voting day (Saturday, October 17, 2026).
If your application is complete and you qualify to vote by mail, a mail ballot package will be sent to you as soon as ballots are available.
- Mail ballot packages are expected to be available after September 23
- Mail ballot packages will be available for pick-up only, after 9:00am on Wednesday, October 7, 2026, at North Cowichan Municipal Hall.
- Mail ballots may be obtained by:
- Canada Post standard mail (applications received on or before 9:00am October 7, 2026), or
- In-person pickup at Municipal Hall (required after 9:00am October 7, 2026).
You are responsible for ensuring that your completed ballot and documents are received by the chief election officer before the close of voting at 8:00pm on Saturday, October 17, 2026 (general voting day).
If your name is not on the Register of Resident Electors, you will be required to provide two (2) pieces of identification when you deliver your ballot.
