BC Ferries' Crofton Terminal Development Plan is currently underway. Necessary work to replace piles and timber elements of the Crofton timber trestle is taking place July 18 to August 1, 2023. Night work is planned between 8pm and 6:30pm, Monday to Friday, over the project's four week duration.
North Cowichan Council has directed that staff use discretion to enforce the Noise Bylaw during this time.
BC Ferries is advising Crofton residents of this work by distributing a letter the week of July 10.
