On Saturday, October 25, six new individuals will have their names added to the North Cowichan/Duncan Sports Wall of Fame. Since 2008, the Wall of Fame has honoured the rich history of sports, coaches, athletes, teams, administrators and builders from the Cowichan area.
“We are proud of the rich sporting community in North Cowichan and Duncan and the tireless contributions of many people who call this beautiful place home,” says North Cowichan Mayor Rob Douglas. “This year’s inductees have numerous accomplishments behind their names and have made positive contributions to their sport.”
“We continue to be impressed with the quality and quantity of nominations we receive,” explains North Cowichan councillor and committee chair Tek Manhas. “This year we were challenged with many exceptional nominations, resulting in an increase in our number of inductees.”
The following six new inductees will be added to the Sports Wall of Fame in 2025.
