North Cowichan’s new Agricultural Advisory Committee will begin meeting soon and is looking for up to eight volunteers who have expertise or interest in agriculture, food security, or a related area. The committee has a mandate to provide advice to Council on agricultural initiatives, policies and practices, and to contribute to the development of an agricultural and food security strategic plan.
The committee will meet four times per year and member appointment coincides with the term of council (to fall 2026). The first meeting is anticipated to take place in April or May 2024.
The deadline for completed applications is 4:30pm on Friday, March 1, 2024.
