NOTICE IS GIVEN that the District of North Cowichan, pursuant to sections 26 and 94 of the Community Charter, intends to dispose of land by way of a 5-year lease renewal to Rogers Communications Inc. (“Rogers”) for an existing telecommunication tower and related works.
The land currently leased to Rogers and proposed for lease renewal is a 60m x 60m site at Maple Mountain, Section 11, Range 6, Comiaken Land District (located at coordinates 48’-49’-54”, West Latitude and 123’ – 36’ – 13” North Latitude).
In consideration for the 5-year lease renewal (November 1, 2024 to October 31, 2029) and the option to renew for two additional 5-year terms, Rogers will pay an annual rent to North Cowichan of $43,200 in 2024, plus annual rent increases equal to CPI thereafter.
North Cowichan’s Chief Administrative Officer will consider the execution of this lease renewal & modification agreement following publication of the required notice.
