North Cowichan also gives notice, in accordance with sections 26 and 94 of the Community Charter, of its intention to Sublease foreshore property in Chemainus, described as Block B of  District Lot 269, and District Lot 2014, within Cowichan District, to Jones Marine Group Ltd.

The foreshore Sublease is for a 10 year term, and Jones Marine Group Ltd. will pay all rent and security as set out in the Lease (first year rent is $19,600 and security is $10,000) plus any other costs that North Cowichan might incur related to the May 6, 2025 Lease that North Cowichan has entered into with the Province of British Columbia.
