We invite proposals from qualified persons to provide wharfinger services for North Cowichan’s Chemainus, Crofton and Maple Bay wharves. The successful person (or company) will be responsible for overseeing operation and management of the wharves on behalf of the Municipality.
Services to be delivered include:
- Maintaining safe wharves and performing minor maintenance and repairs
- Daily site inspections
- Operating the wharves and assigning berths, handling reservations & wait lists, providing information and collecting fees.
- Maintaining detailed maintenance and financial information
Key dates:
- August 18 1PM - Site visit at Chemainus Wharf (note - the site visit is not mandatory)
- August 26 4PM - Deadline for questions
- September 9 2PM - Submission deadline
- October 1, 2022 - Anticipated execution of agreement
