Turbidity is currently being experienced in some areas of the Chemainus water system. The discolouration is caused by the cast iron pipes, and is not a health concern to the public. Crews are actively flushing the water mains to remove the turbidity. If you are experiencing discoloured water, run your taps until the water runs clear.
