NOTICE IS GIVEN that the Halalt First Nation will be hosting a Special Joint Council meeting between the Municipality of North Cowichan and the Halalt First Nation on Friday, July 10, 2026, at 10:00 a.m. to be held at Halalt First Nation – 7973 Chemainus Road, Chemainus, BC, to consider matters that are closed to the public in accordance with the following sections of the Community Charter:  

  1. 90(1)(i.1) FIPPA s. 18 Disclosure harmful to interests of an Indigenous people, and  
  2. 90(2)(b)(iii) First Nation Negotiations.  

This notice is given as required by Section 127 of the Community Charter and in accordance with section 5.4 of the Council and Committee Procedure Bylaw No. 3945.
