NOTICE IS GIVEN that Council will be considering the issuance of a temporary use permit at their regular meeting being held on November 18, 2026, at 5:00 p.m. This meeting will be conducted in a hybrid format, in person in Council Chambers and electronically through the Cisco Webex platform.
The purpose of the permit is to allow for an Extreme Weather Shelter between the hours of 8:30 p.m. to 7:00 a.m. at Unit 5-9806 Willow Street until April 30, 2027.
Anyone who believes they are affected by the permit may submit their comments in writing to publicmeetings@northcowichan.ca or by dropping them off or mailing them to the Municipality of North Cowichan. The deadline for written submissions is 3:00 p.m. on Wednesday, November 18, 2026.
As outlined in Council Procedure Bylaw No. 3945, (s. 7.19), public input is not included for this agenda item.
This notice is given as required by Section 494 of the Local Government Act.
