BC Wildfire Service is responding to a possible fire outside of North Cowichan's jurisdiction in the Peerless Road area. Smoke is visible from the highway. 
 
Note: BC Wildfire Service had originally named this fire 'Holyoak Lake' but updated it to 'Banon Creek'
