Description
The municipality has an ongoing maintenance process to upgrade playgrounds as they naturally age out. This project includes removing the pea gravel surfacing and replacing with CSA-approved engineered wood fibre surfacing, adding equipment with easy-access platforms, sensory and vestibular features, and a new basket-style swing. Note - the newer climbing equipment playground pieces will remain part of the playground and are not part being replaced at this time.
This project builds on other recent upgrades at Kinsmen Beach Park, including the new washroom, accessible pathway and picnic table, and covered picnic shelter.
Access to the washrooms, covered shelter and other areas of the park will remain open during the playground replacement.
