Fuller Lake disc golf course was completed in the fall of 2025. The 18-hole course was designed by INdesign Disc Golf in partnership with the Cowichan Valley Disc Golf Club (CVDGC).
The CVDGC was directly involved with the course design and also provided in-kind contributions such as hosting volunteer days and providing materials and labour towards the disc golf course construction which greatly reduced the overall anticipated construction costs.
Just like traditional golf, players aim to finish the course with the lowest score by getting their disc into each basket in as few throws as possible.
Each player throws from the tee pad toward the basket to start the hole.
After each player has thrown once, the player farthest from the basket always throws next.
For your second throw (and all following throws), play the disc from where it came to rest. You can place a small marker disc at your “lie” (the spot where your disc landed) to mark your position.
When throwing, make sure at least one foot stays behind the lie until the disc is released — no support points should be closer to the basket than your lie marker.
If your disc lands in an area marked OB (roads, pathways, parking lots), take a one-throw penalty and resume play from where it went out.
Course conduct
Treat other players, park visitors, and the course with courtesy.
Never throw when others are within range of your disc. Always make sure the fairway is clear before you throw.
All litter, including cigarette butts and pet waste must be disposed of in proper receptacles outside of the course. Pack it in, pack it out.
Play in groups of four or fewer whenever possible to maintain pace and flow.
When a disc is lost, all players in your group should assist in locating it.
Avoid standing or leaving equipment in areas that could interfere in others' gameplay.
Avoid distracting other players while they are throwing.
Allow groups behind you to play through if appropriate to ease course flow.
If you see litter, pick it up. If you see damage, report it. Every small act helps keep the course beautiful for everyone.
