Crofton

Crofton is a community of 2,500 people, located on Osborne Bay and overlooking Salt Spring Island. The Crofton Seawalk is a popular way to enjoy the waterfront and access the beaches. A public boat launch and parking area is available next to the ferry dock.  

The Crofton Local Area Plan [PDF - 47 MB] was adopted in 2015 and builds on the OCP by providing more detailed guidance in Crofton. 

Crofton is home to the Paper Excellence Catalyst Mill, which manufactures printing and packaging papers from Coastal BC fibre supply.

BC Ferries provides service from Crofton to Vesuvius on Salt Spring Island. A long-term plan and vision for the Crofton terminal is underway.
