Grant funding is available to community organizations for projects that help achieve the targets in North Cowichan’s Climate Action and Energy Plan.

Who is eligible to apply?
An organization registered as a society under the BC Society Act, or as an association under the Cooperative Association Act.
What types of projects are eligible?
Projects that align with actions listed in the Climate Action and Energy Plan, reduce energy use or emissions in the Municipality of North Cowichan, or address climate change adaptation and reflect the guiding principles of efficacy, flexibility, sustainability, transparency, high visibility, innovation and collaborations. Examples of projects areas include building energy efficiency, transportation, industrial or agricultural emissions.
How do I apply?
All proposals must be submitted before the intake deadline each year of September 15.

How are projects evaluated?
Proposals are reviewed and evaluated by the Environmental Advisory Committee members using the Evaluation Criteria outlined in the Terms of Reference under “Applicant and Project Eligibility”. Recommendations will then be provided to Council for approval.
