Residents who no longer want to receive a paper invoice for their tax and utility bills, business licences, and dog licences can sign up to have invoices sent straight to their email. Benefits of e-billing include:
- Convenience: you can manage and pay your municipal bills online, anytime, anywhere
- Sustainability: go paperless to reduce environmental waste (no printing, paper, envelope, or postage)
- Information: view your multi-year history and actual water-use amounts (this detail is not available on paper bills)
To receive your next bill by email, follow these steps:
If you don’t yet have a MyMuni profile:
- Create a profile at this link: https://egov.northcowichan.ca/apps/MyCity/Welcome.aspx
- Log into MyMuni with your username and password. Under the ‘MyMuni’ menu, click ‘edit accounts’ and then select ‘register account.’ You must register your utility account, tax account, dog licence account, and business licence accounts separately. The instructions below show how to register utility and tax accounts, but the process for dog and business licence accounts is the same.

- First, select ‘register a utility account,’ and enter your account number and access code, which can be found on a previous utility bill. Select ‘yes’ to subscribe for e-billing.

- To add your tax account, click on ‘edit accounts’ again and select ‘register account,’ and then ‘register a tax account.’ Enter your account number and access code, which can be found on a previous tax bill. Select ‘yes’ to subscribe for e-billing.

- Complete the same steps as above to register a dog or business licence account.
