Mail Ballot Voting

North Cowichan’s Election and Assent Voting Bylaw No. 3837, 2024 authorizes mail ballot voting during an election. Mail ballot voting is available to all electors.

It is the elector’s responsibility to ensure that their mail ballot is received by the Chief Election Officer before the close of voting at 8pm on Saturday, October 17, 2026.

Completed ballots may be dropped off at Municipal Hall until 4pm on Friday, October 16 OR handed to the Chief Election Officer at the Municipal Hall Voting Place, 7030 Trans-Canada Highway, until 8pm on Saturday, October 17. 

Mail ballots must be received by the end of voting on Saturday, October 17, 2026 at 8pm. Postmarks will not be accepted. Ballots received after 8pm on October 17, 2026 will not be counted.

You are responsible for ensuring your completed mail ballot is received by the Chief Election Officer before the voting deadline.
